Who do you want the licence to cover?

The licence will cover all employees, members, partners, consultants, contractors, officers and directors
If your business has no UK nexus it cannot be licenced, but any employees or consultants with a UK nexus must be licenced before they can provide sanctioned services for you
Apply for a licence for yourself if you’re a sole trader or cannot be covered by a business licence
What do we mean by UK nexus?

You must comply with UK sanctions if you're:

  • an individual or business within the territory and territorial sea of the UK
  • a UK national or a UK business, anywhere in the world

We call this connection to the UK, a UK nexus.
